Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft to Support Large-Scale Research Project by Robert Böhm on Vaccination Behavior

The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) is to finance a large-scale research project that will adopt an interdisciplinary approach to examining and overcoming "vaccine fatigue". The project will be conducted by Assistant Prof. Robert Böhm (Assistant Professor of Decision Analysis at RWTH Aachen University) and PD Dr. Cornelia Betsch of the University of Erfurt. It will run for 3 years and will receive almost 400,000 Euros in funding. Methods and theories from behavioral economics, psychology, and epidemiology will find application in the form of laboratory and online experiments as well as simulation studies in order to analyze human vaccination behavior.
